^^ This is the link to my chosen film Bridget Jones' Diary, I didn't know how to put the images in, I tried print screening the images and then adding them in but it wouldn't let me so I'll just tell you when to pause the clip.
- For the first shot if you pause it at 1:53 you will see a point of view shot, with this you can see how the entire dinner table stops eating to stare uncomfortably at Bridget. I find this really effective because you can feel her embarrassment and discomfort as she hesitates awkwardly to answer the needless question
- For the second shot at 1:55 you get Bridget's reaction shot revealing her shock and mortification at the question asked by them and right at this moment you completely feel her pain
- For the third shot at 2:30 you get an Over-the-Shoulder shot, as Mark walks down the stairs talking as he begins to speak first it shows an over the shoulder shot, possibly showing importance.
- For the forth shot at 6:15 it is another over the shoulder shot but is as well a close up shot, and this shows the concentration in her bosses face, showing importance about what he's saying; which draws the audience into that specific shot delivering impact.
This film is definitely one of my favourites I absolutely love it and have watched it at least 50 times! I think it's really good at varying different shots appropriately and not insignificantly, to keep the audience interested with variety.
Good work Ellie, glad to see you have made a good effort catching up!
